Hub Mail Advertising is established.

Operated by Abraham Serber, it is located initially at 194 Washington Street. It becomes the largest direct mail company in New England and later moves to Bowdoin Square, to another location on Washington Street, and then to 35 Morrissey Boulevard in 1980.
